10:30 – 11:30: KUUF Sanctuary, Rev. Anderson Most people run into times when the obstacles of life seem insurmountable. Sometimes hope is gone. Sometimes life just seems to be getting worse. Sometimes, lemons are just lemons and there is no lemonade. This sermon will reflect on how people live life with grit and perseverance when all hope is lost.
Rev. Anderson is a retired UU Community Minister. As a community minister he was settled at Catholic Community Services for 32 years in Tacoma where he served as a family therapist, and directed counseling, chemical dependency treatment, welfare to work and parent education programs. He also did considerable conflict management consultation and training with nonprofits and UU Churches. During the last twelve years at CCS he oversaw programs for adults experiencing homelessness. Now retired, he spends time with family, does wood and metal sculpture, provides an occasional sermon, and serves on occasional committees.
