10:30 – 11:30 KUUF Sanctuary, Sara Lewis: Recent trends in American religious life and in Unitarian Universalism have left many asking if the traditional Sunday School model of religious education is dying out. At the same time, there is incredible creativity, innovation, and energy to meet the needs of today’s children, families, and adults for spiritual and faith formation. Is this a time of decline or a time of new growth? What could the future hold for religious education?
Sara Lewis has served for a decade as the Director of Lifespan Religious Education for the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation. She is a master level credentialed religious educator, and the chair elect of the Religious Education Credentialing Committee of the UUA.
