A book group is a forum where readers can come together and talk about books and the reading experience. KUUF currently has two book groups that meet regularly.
The Truth Quest Book Group meets the first Sunday of each month, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the Elmore Room (Library) at KUUF. Each month we choose, by consensus, a book to read and discuss; our focus and interest is on the spiritual quest in the broadest sense: we have read books in most all of the major world Faith traditions, as well as books that in general have to do with the search for spiritual meaning beyond the material (such as accounts of mystical experiences).
We welcome all, no need to register, just show up if you are interested; you are welcome whether or not you had a chance to read the entire book, and we support you in coming to just listen or to participate as much or as little as you wish. For more information, you can contact Jerry Butler at 360-981-8826 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For upcoming meetings, click here.
Women Who Love to Read is a social group of KUUF women who love good literature and enjoy discussing selected books. We read both fiction and non-fiction, suggest, vote on and select books in advance each June, then distribute the list to all members of the group.
Our regular meeting date is the second Monday of each month from 2 – 4 p.m., in a member’s home. For more information please contact Lene Hajek at email@example.com. Newcomers always are welcome. For upcoming meetings, click here.
