Guest At Your Table Boxes will be available in the Foyer.  Please take one for your spare change for Justice Across Borders.  Since 2014, violence in Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala has led nearly 250,000 Central Americans to seek asylum in the United States.  

 

 

 

Childcare opens at 10am for children who do not want to start in the service. All children are welcome to start in the service and then go up to the children’s building for Childcare or Religious Exploration.

The children listen to a story in the service and then the congregation sings them out at approximately 11 am.

Middle School Conference (MS Con) is a place for our middle schoolers to experience a weekend of inclusive fun and community grounded in our Unitarian Universalist values.

There will be workshops, worship, a talent / no-talent show, swimming and boating (with certified lifeguards), and much more. Meals are served family-style in the dining hall, and youth sleep in cabin groups of six to eight youth.
The workshops are a large part of the weekend. They can range from archery to drama, collage, tie dye, games, field sports, yoga, day spa, or sock monkeys depending on the interests of the group and the talents of the leaders.

Eligibility: MS Con is for youth in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who are active in their local Puget Sound Unitarian
Universalist congregation.

Fees: $150 if registered by 11:59pm on Sept. 4. $175 if registered by 11:59pm on Sept. 11. No registrations after Sept. 11.

Thank you for all the donations to the Children’s Library on World Religions. We still have 5 books outstanding.
CRE is looking for donations of “artifacts” from the major world religions: statues, crosses, prayer beads, menorah, etc.  to use on our altars for Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Earth Spirituality, and Hinduism. Thank you.

RE Class August 5, 2018
Weaving Ojo de Dios
A God’s eye is a spiritual and votive object made by weaving a design out of yarn upon a wooden cross. Often several colors are used. They are commonly found in Mexican and Mexican American communities, among both Indigenous and Catholic peoples.

We will be having one RE Class for ages 6-13 that begins after the children are sung out of the service. Our class time is only 30-40 minutes and will be focusing on Unitarian Universalist Stories and the Seven Principles through art.
