Book Clubs

Our book groups are a great way to share common experiences.

Truth Quest Book Group

Meets the first Sunday of each month, 9:15 am to 10:30 am, in the Elmore Room (Library) at KUUF.

Each month we choose, by consensus, a book to read and discuss. Our focus and interest is on the spiritual quest in the broadest sense. We have read books in almost all of the major world Faith traditions, as well as books that in general have to do with the search for spiritual meaning beyond the material (such as accounts of mystical experiences). All are welcome.

For more information please contact Jerry Butler at (360) 981-8826.

Women's Book Club

Meets the second Monday of each month from 2 – 4 p.m., in a member’s home.

Women Who Love to Read is a social group of KUUF women who love good literature and enjoy discussing selected books. We read both fiction and non-fiction, suggest, vote on and select books in advance each June, then distribute the list to all members of the group.

For more information please contact Lene Hajek at lnybyh@yahoo.com. Newcomers always are welcome.

Men’s Book Club

Meets the second Wednesday of every month, in a member’s home.

The Men’s Book Club meets the second Wednesday of every month to discuss a reading selection, current events, and the passages of our lives. People take turns hosting a gathering and the host supplies food and beverages. Books are chosen by consensus from titles that are out in paperback or in E-versions. Contrary to vicious rumors that occasionally pop up, many to most of us do read the book! Reading the book is not required to attend.

For more information please contact Mack Johnson at (360) 649-1712 or telemackj@gmail.com.
