Help us preserve our decks before the next rain!  The Buildings and Grounds committee will be doing some much needed deck maintenance, and we'd love to have a few extra people helping us out. We will be working Saturday 10/3 9:00am-11:00am and Monday 10/5 starting at 11:00am till we're done!

Please join us next Sunday in honoring the interdependent web of life by celebrating our beloved animals. You are invited to bring your live pets (leashed or caged), stuffed animals, photos, or objects that represent any beloved creatures (past, present, or future) and together we will bless them! This will be a multigenerational service and children will remain in the sanctuary for the service.

This week we have a multi-generational service. There will be no separate children’s  program today. Childcare will be available for children ages 1-5 in the Matan Building as needed.

This course is for everyone from novices on trans identity to those with decades of life experience. Rather than simply offering a “trans 101,” this class pushes participants to the next level of congregational welcome, relationship-building, and skills-building. It counters mainstream narratives about who trans people are. supports understanding of non-binary identities, and employs a deeply intersectional approach.

“Writing is a long-loved path to personal insight, spiritual discernment and self-expression. By bringing the practice of writing to the exploration of monthly themes, the hope is to provide participants not only with another channel of self-discovery, but also with the gift of being witnessed in a new and precious way.”

This week, we are exploring how to be courageous about our true selves and making “This Is Me” courage badges. As we do that, we will have the chance to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month and National Coming Out Day as well as honor the many ways that LGBTQ+ people have courageously been their true selves.

What does it take to transform the world? Three persons who paid attention to that question, imagined what could be, and dedicated themselves to working for a world in which all beings can thrive and lead lives that inspire each of us to live with passion and purpose.
