A Woman for All Seasons
This month marks more than 200 years since the birth of Margaret Fuller, the brilliant, nontraditional woman who made significant contributions to American thought, literature, and 19th century reform movements.  A member of Concord’s Transcendentalist group, she challenged Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott, and Henry David Thoreau intellectually and ethically as she spoke out for the abolition of slavery, against the oppression of Native Americans, and for full equality for women. On this Mother’s Day, Fuller’s life serves as a reminder of the power of each person’s vision and voice.

Rev. Carol McKinley, a frequent speaker at KUUF, comes to us from the Olympia UU Congregation where she is an Affiliated Community Minister.
