This is an all ages movie night. Pack a picnic dinner, blanket and pillows and join members of the Soulful Home parenting group for an indoor picnic, pajama wearing, film viewing event. This is an all ages event and because of this we will be starting early. You are invited to socialize and eat from 5:30 to 6:00. At 6:00 the viewing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs will begin.

Esther Wyant currently manages the Coffee Oasis Shelter in Bremerton. The shelter has 6 beds and serves youth ages 16-20. She also works as a case manager for the shelter residents. Coffee Oasis has shelter, case management, and youth development programs in Kitsap and Pierce County. Esther works with other community partners to support Evergreen Bright Start,  a 30-unit apartment complex in downtown Bremerton for young adults, ages 18-24, who are  exiting foster care, facing homelessness, or fleeing violence.

In this session, we dive into our monthly theme of repair by exploring how kindness can be a tool to repair the hurt caused by meanness.

Soulful Home is an ongoing parent group meeting the third Sunday of each month following the service. Parents are invited to bring a sack lunch for themselves and for their child(ren). Children will remain up in the Matan Building for childcare while parents meet to build community and explore the Soulful Home resources. Soulful Home is a program through Soul Matters that supports families as they explore the sacred in everyday spaces by providing materials to help parents integrate Unitarian Universalism into everyday home life.  

Starting in October and November, Rev. Victoria, the Welcoming and Membership, Healthy Communications, and Social Justice Committees will present a four-part series of programs called Starting Point (created by UU lay leaders and professionals at Soul Matters), where we explore these questions about KUUF and UUs.

In this session, we bring our journey with The Practice of Repair to a close by exploring how honesty can be a tool to repair the harm caused by lying and dishonesty.

On Friday, January 17, 2025 we are planning a "dessert theatre" event. Yes, dessert during the intermission, but what's more is we'll be showcasing the Fellowship's amazing talent when the radio station, KUUF, will take to the air again to present our own variety show. Whether you participate on the stage, in the audience, or just want to taste or bake dessert, this will be a not-to-be-missed event.
