Conflict in the Middle East Listening Circle: Sunday, March 17, 11:45 am to 1:00 pm
The Social Justice Committee is hosting a Listening Circle on Sunday, March 17 in the Sanctuary after the service, supported by the Healthy Communications Team and the Pastoral Care Team. This is a place to acknowledge how people are experiencing the conflict.
We'll have small groups where we can have rounds to answer questions such as "How is your heart in regards to what is happening in Israel and Gaza? This circle is not intended to be a space for debate, rather a space to engage with one another respectfully while being held in a covenantal community. We will listen to different truths with love, honesty, respect, and compassion, and sit with discomfort. We will have facilitators to guide us and help us commit to no cross-talk or interruptions. An altar will be in the center where you can place any objects that hold meaning for you. We hope you can join us for this time together.
