CRE: November 10: Memory (The Tool to Repair Loss)

  • Kitsap Unitarian Universal Fellowship 4418 Perry Avenue Northeast Bremerton, WA, 98310 United States (map)

The theme for November  is Living Love Through the Practice of Repair

Children’s Religious Education

In CRE children will be exploring The Practice of Repair. A goal this month is to help our children understand the many tools we have available to heal each other and the world. We also hope to impress on our children that these ways of going about repair matter, regardless of how supposedly “large” or “small” they may be.

November 10: Memory (The Tool to Repair Loss)

In this session, we take our cue from the fall season’s natural pattern, of leaves dying and being let go of by their trees. This is a reminder of the cycle of life and invites us to explore grief and memory as a practice of repair. We will also explore the UU ritual of a memory tree as a concrete and meaningful way to grieve and explore loss in a healthy, age-appropriate way
