Spring is around the corner and it’s time to begin doing some gardening in the space known as Nancy Jo’s garden. The spot has been cleaned up and cleared of scotch broom, blackberries and weeds. The fence has been fixed, new gates installed, cardboard and chips laid down. Soon some raised beds will be constructed and filled with planting soil. There will be some planting, weeding and nurturing of the plants that needs to take place this spring and summer, as well as the harvesting and sharing of the bounty with the community. If you are interested and able to contribute in any way to the project, please email Kandace MacKaben at admin@kuuf.org.
