This Sunday we will deconstruct the myth of the “first Thanksgiving”. Created by Abraham Lincoln, Thanksgiving as a national holiday was meant to unite America after the Civil War. But it has become a Day of Mourning for many indigenous communities. Let us gather together and engage with the season by opening our hearts to the grief that accompanies this season of gratitude.
