As Americans come to terms with this country’s deeply troubled legacy of racism, people are learning more about the pervasiveness of racial injustice in our culture. Some seek to discount, even silence conversations about racism, seeing them as unpatriotic, demeaning to the ideals on which this nation was founded. What is our responsibility, as people of faith, to live into the truth of this nation’s history?
