It's become a Christmas Day tradition to screen 3 time Oscar winning 1968 film, The Lion in Winter, at KUUF.
This film details Christmas Day 1183 and the ruling Plantagenet family of Henry II, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine imprisoned by her husband yet let out on Christmas for family time, and their three sons all scheming to hopefully be named Henry's successor. This family puts the "fun" in dysfunction. Amazingly scripted & acted. It won Oscars for Best Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Music!
This Christmas (Wednesday, December 25) we will have a 1:00 pm potluck, then start the film at 1:30 pm. All to be done before the sun goes down!
