Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove presents Holy Change!
Everything is always in constant flux but these days feel particularly challenging, as change seems to unfold at such a frantic pace. This Sunday's service, using the powerful concepts of Earthseed from the novel Parable of the Sower by the late author Octavia Butler, invite us to find meaning and maybe even hope when we embrace change as holy.
Our guest this Sunday is the Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove. She has served congregations in Washington, Colorado, Maryland, and British Columbia. She and her husband Jaco retired in 2017 as Emeritus Ministers from Cedars UU Church on Bainbridge Island, WA and are now happily enjoying life in Bellingham, WA. While her focus in ministry was on worship and UU evangelism, in retirement she preaches, writes, sings, volunteers at Hospice, and does “noble chores” at her co-housing community. She is a mentor and friend to our minister, Rev. Jessica Star Rockers, who is on family leave.
