Larry Chin, an attorney for the past 24 years practicing exclusively in U.S. immigration and nationality law, has represented hundreds of clients before immigration courts all over the country and on appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal circuit courts. His work also includes employment and family based visas before Citizenship and Immigration Services and United States Embassies and Consulates. Legal Services Director for Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center since 2021, Chin will provide a brief history and overview of U.S. immigration law and processes and offer some insight into how past events inform and impact patterns of immigration with particular focus on new immigrant groups to Kitsap County and Washington state.
